Baked Portobello Mushroom Caps

Ingredients / Makes 4 Servings

4 large portobello mushroom caps
8 thin slices of a Caruso’s Italian Torta
Olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Clean and destem mushrooms
  3. Brush both sides of mushroom caps with olive oil
  4. Lay mushrooms bottom side up on a baking sheet
  5. Place slices of torta on mushroom cap
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and mushroom is tender (can also be grilled)
