People all over Cincinnati and beyond have enjoyed her gourmet cooking for private parties, business engagements, charitable events, and school functions. She has also catered for celebrities, concerts, Broadway touring companies, and professional athletes, including the Cincinnati Bengals.
After many years of private catering, Carrie decided to focus her attention on her top-selling item, the Italian Torta. She has gained a reputation around the city for this unique appetizer, which combines gourmet cooking with simplicity and practicality at a reasonable price.
She has also created a number of other unique gourmet dishes using the signature Italian Torta. Inspired by the growing success of the Italian Torta, Caruso’s Gourmet Foods was launched in 2010.
